Welcome to the 2023 U13 Tier 1 Provincial Championships
Hosted by the Glenlake Hawks in Calgary, Alberta
Below is some information that will be helpful for teams and parents to maximize your championship weekend experience:
Flames Community Arenas
All Provincial Championship games will be played at one of the three arenas at the Flames Community Arenas.
The rink is conveniently located off Crowchild Trail in SW Calgary - 2390 - 47 avenue SW
There is a Pro Shop within the rink where you can sharpen skates and get tape, laces and other essentials.
Hotel Blackfoot
Hotel Blackfoot is our host hotel. It is centrally-located in the city for teams arriving from any direction. It is also close to the Flames Community Arenas. There will be a complimentary Players Lounge within the hotel for teams and players to hang out in. There are restaurants on site and many good options close by.

Opening Ceremonies
Opening ceremonies will be held on Friday from 1:30pm-2:15pm at Flames Community Arenas. If your team isn’t going to be able to join us, please let us know ASAP as we’re finalizing the script and want to shout out all in attendance. Please have your team prepared to be in their jerseys and ready to roll by 1:15pm.
Oilympics Lounge at FCA
Calgary has many great places to eat, but there may not be a more convenient place than Oilympics Lounge located within the Flames Community Arenas. Their food is excellent and their drinks are cold.
It’s a great spot with an arcade, and we’ve purchased open access to all arcade games throughout the weekend. It can be a busy spot, so we recommend booking a table by calling in advance (403.243.8484 x225). Oilympics will be open daily at 10am so either lunch or dinner would work based on your playing schedule.
